The last months I’ve been watching a serie called LOST on the tv. It passes on the AXN channel every monday at 9 P.M. It’s already in its third season and I watched the two first ones cause I’ve bought them at FNAC. Lost is the story of about 40 people who crashed in a plane in an unknown island. At the beggining, they hope rescue will come but as the time pass they start organizing theirselfs in a society in which each one has a different responsability. The island is beautiful, almost a paradise, but it has many misteries though. For example, in one of the first chapiters, a polar bear appears in the middle of the jungle! As the plot goes on, the visitors start discovering the answers to many of these misteries and that makes the story very interesting!!…It’s really worth watching it but if anyone wants to see it..He’ll have to start from the very beggining in order to understand every detail of it.
Spider-man3
Last weekend, me and some of my friends in the class went see Spider-man 3 in the movies. It was very funny and the movie was very good and not boring although it was almost 3 hours long. It’s the story of a young man who was bitten by a spider and became spider-man with supernatural powers. As he has powers, he feels as if he had the obligation to save the city he lives in, New York, thus he is always there when there are some problems like robs or monsters in the streets. In the third movie (it’s a trilogie), Spider-man is attacked by an evil creature which gives him more power than usual but also makes him a bad person. As Spider-man starts liking to be a very powerful man every time he uses his new dark costume he starts losing control of himself but also the confidence of the people of New York, who used to admire and count on him each time there was an accident. The whole story is about how Spider-man manage to get free of this dark power and at the same time fight against his ennemies.
Maldives
There are some awesome places in Earth we may never know. It makes me feel sad but I can always dream about them and hope one day I could visit these beautiful islands. The one I’ve always heard about and the one I’ve always wanted to go it’s called the Maldives. It’s situated in the Indian Ocean, near India and Sri Lanka in the south of Asia. It’s composed of 1.196 islands and its name is “Maldivas” because of that. Mal means millions and Divas means island. As it is a lot like paradise or heaven, many tourists visit the Maldives every year, mostly during summer, which is in January. The price is very expensive though and not anyone could go there. Another big problem is the tsunami of 2004, which has destroyed many tourism islands in there. I’ve always dreamed to visit it one day though and I may manage to do it if I study a lot and I work a lot too! There’s always hope!
Cuba
I went to Cuba once in my life and it was the most exciting travel I’ve ever done!…
I went there with my family and some friends during the summer vacations in 2000. We stayed at a city called Varadero, where there was the Club med, which is a very animated hotel. First of all, the beach is extremely beautiful (the water is calm and cristaline and the sand is thin and light). The temperature is really “agradavel”, it’s hot during the day and warm in the night. In Club med I had things to do all day long

Da Vinci’s exposition
Famous painter, whose paintings are among the most expensive in the world, Leonardo Da Vinci (1452-1519) had his name recently exposed in the media because of his most famous painting
“La Gioconda” and Dan Brown‘s book “The Da Vinci code”.
However, and exposition about him in the Ibirapuera park shows that reducing his geniality in his paintings is disdaining the most part of his work. “Leonardo Da Vinci – A Exibição de um Gênio” brings to the Oca 150 pieces that show the activities of the Italian as an architect, a scientist, an inventor, an engineer, a philosopher, an anatomist and obviously a painter.
The exposition is, according to specialists, the most including about Da Vinci ever conceived in the moving format. There are no original pieces, as a legislation forbids their circulation and Da Vinci himself didn’t left many of them behind. The first pieces that remake the inventions of Da Vinci had been produced in the middle of the 50′ by craftsmen Italian families, from the study of original projects. Later on, other European craftsmen and specialists had also confectioned more pieces with materials and techniques of the 15th century. These are the ones exposed in
São Paulo.
Works of art had been reproduced by Florentine artists in their original size. Rejoinders of the codes, studies of anatomy and the drawings of “Anghiari Battle” were extended. Ones of the most important works of Leonardo’s trajectory, the “Vitruviano Man” and the “Last Supper” are displayed in 3D, with technological resources that provide interaction with the public.
The exposition is divided in 13 sectors: “Estudos Anatômicos”, “Arte da Guerra”, “Máquinas Civis”, “Códices”, “O Pai da Aviação”, “Máquinas Hidráulicas e Aquáticas”, “Instrumentos Musicais e Ópticos”, “Estudos sobre Física e Mecânica”, “A arte da Renascença”, “O Homem Vitruviano”, “Desenhos da Batalha de Anghiari“, “Documentário” e “Vídeos em 2D e 3D sobre o Homem Vitruviano e a Última Ceia”.
Water polo
This is me playing water polo at the Brazilian championship in Rio de Janeirol last year . It’s a very exciting sport and I have been practicing it for 2 years now but I’ve still lots of things to learn. They say water polo is the most tiring sport of the olimpics and one of the hardest too..that’s why I practice it every single day… I love it though!
In order to play it well you have not only to swim very fast, be very strong physically but also be healthy, light and alert.
The Ambient Clock
I found this comment on Derek’s blog (http://dereksblog.learnerblogs.org/2006/10/26/responses-to-information-aesthetics/). It’s about a cute and practical ambient clock, I loved it!. The problem is that it’s not yet for sale here in Brazil and if it were..it would be too expensive =/.
My Carnival holiday
This year, for my carnival holiday, I went to Ibiuna ( a city inside the state of Sao Paulo) where I have a house. It was great although there wasn’t any carnival party. During the day, I spent most of the time walking by the condo with some friends but also practicing wake board and in the night I just watched the carnival parade of Rio and Sp. on TV. I didn’t do much cause Ibiuna is a calm place where we can relax and forget our problems.
I´d rather spend this holiday in some place with more agitation and cloudier like Bahia in the north or at the beaches near São Paulo where everybody goes on Carnival. But anyway I had a great time at Ibiuna and that´s it!…
That’s me…
Hi everybody! …I’m Nathalie and I’ll try to describe myself a little so you can know me better. First of all I’m Brazilian and I’ve been living here since I was born, in 1991. My dad’s Brazilian too but my mom’s French and that’s why I study at the Lycée Pasteur, which is a French school here in Sao Paulo.
Well, it’s always difficult to talk about myself because I’m moody and I react differently depending on the situation. I can be very happy, dynamic and active like when I’m with my friends but also calm and reflective when I’m at school or when I’m sad…I have a boyfriend, Ramiro, who’s Uruguayan and is 14 years old too. I love him very much and when we’re together we just laugh all the time. He’s so cute and funny, I love him just the way he is! …
I like sports and competition, that’s why I practice water polo every single day. I’m very fond of music too and I’m always singing (even if I don’t do it well…). I can’t bear tests at school and homework ( I think NObody can…).
So this is me and if you want to know more about myself you can always ask!..
